Date: 2018
Background and Scope of Work: The purpose of the survey was to determine the RF frequency spectrum present at the property and to conduct power density measurement to assess the amplitude of the RF signals from the microphone system, assisted listening system and Wi-Fi system to ensure they will work properly during basketball games.

Background and Scope of Work:  A pest control company over applied a pesticide product which contained silica dust, then attempted to clean with a standard shop vacuum. The actions of the pest control company resulted in gross contamination of the entire residence with dust which contained silica. We conducted an indoor air quality survey to document contamination inside the home as well as measurements for airborne particulate levels and collect bulk samples of the dust for silica analysis.

Background and Scope of Work:  A shooting range for a Sherriff department was scheduled for lead abatement from bullets. We were contracted to monitor the lead abatement process of the contractor. We also conducted air sampling and surface wipe sampling for lead dust during the abatement project.

Background and Scope of Work:  The renovation activities of a condo owner resulted in gross contamination of the entire residence with debris containing asbestos. We conducted an asbestos survey at the residence as well as prepare a scope of work for asbestos abatement.

Date: 2015
Background and Scope of Work:  The call center for a large manufacturer of air filtration devices was experiencing RF interference issues with their DECT cordless phone system. ET&T conducted an initial survey and identified higher RF levels from nearby cellular antennas which were causing interference with the cordless phones. The cellular service provider reduced the RF power output for the antennas and the interference problem did not continue.

Background and Scope of Work:  Luxury jewelry store where there was a Category 3 water loss which affected the ceiling in the showroom area. The Leak was determined to stem from dishwasher drain pipe in the restaurant located above. ET&T was contracted to perform a mold, bacteria, and moisture investigation, prepare a scope of work for remediation and perform post remediation inspection for mold and bacteria.

Background and Scope of Work:  A commercial facility where wastewater is processed and there were employee concerns regarding indoor air quality with respect to hydrogen sulfide sewer gas. We conducted an initial survey as well as long term data logging of hydrogen sulfide levels over time.

Background and Scope of Work:  We conducted an asbestos survey at the freeway ramp which connects the I-8 West to the I-5 North as well as prepare a scope of work for asbestos abatement. The survey was conducted prior to the expansion and improvements of the freeway ramp.

Background and Scope of Work:  A newly constructed residential home indoor airy quality survey.  We conducted an initial indoor air quality survey and identified elevated levels of formaldehyde and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) due to off gassing from new building products. We provided an initial survey to identify elevated levels and conducted multiple follow-up visits to monitoring the reduction of formaldehyde and TVOCs over time.

Background and Scope of Work:  We conducted a RF survey exposure assessment and based on the measurement results, the building owner requested to implement and RF shielding systems. We recommend Cuprotect®, a Germany-based patented copper wire mesh RF shielding system for buildings. The roof was going to be replaced, therefore RF exposure reduction methods were considered as part of the building improvements. In conjunction with Cuprotect® we completed the first commercial radiofrequency (RF) shielding project in the United States.

Background and Scope of Work: A 4 story condominium building with 96 residential units. ET&T staff was retained as mold litigation experts in the construction defect class action suit. Scope of work consisted of investigative support for the microbial investigation and monitoring destructive testing activities to prevent cross contamination of the remaining building.

Background and Scope of Work:  We were contracted to perform and document personal air monitoring for silica dust exposure levels during a concrete grinding project for worker safety compliance. We accomplished this through the use of personal air sampling pumps to evaluate worker exposure to respirable size particles of silica dust.

Background and Scope of Work: Development of a mold remediation design strategy and environmental project monitoring of the over 20 story building. The containment design and air flow management allowed residents to remain in the building while the entire building envelope was replaced over an 18 month time period. This concept saved the client $9 million in relocation cost.

Date: 2004
Background and Scope of Work: High-Rise hotel suffered a flood from the 13th floor down during the last construction phase. ET&T was able to assist the building management and the restoration company in quickly detecting areas that were still wet through the use of infrared imaging. This time efficient approach enabled the building management to open the hotel in perfect condition as scheduled.
