LEED and IAQ Testing

As part of the completion process, LEED certification requires flushing of the building’s air volume or substitute documentation of acceptable IAQ conditions through baseline air quality testing. Flushing or air testing are performed after completion of construction and prior to occupancy. Testing is conducted according to protocols consistent with the United States EPA Compendium of Methods for the Determination of Air Pollutants in Indoor Air.

ET&T can provide you with independent, third-party air quality testing to help your building project meet LEED Certification requirements. LEED is the nationally recognized symbol demonstrating that a building is environmentally responsible, profitable and a healthy place to live and work.

OdaLog: Sewer Gas Odors?

Hydrogen sulfide is produced during organic decomposition. The OdaLog H2S monitor and data logger was designed specifically to address environmental odor control concerns associated with urban sewer systems. The OdaLog has been quickly recognized as the most advanced gas logging device with the lowest detection limit.

ET&T can provide you with instrumentation to measure hydrogen sulfide (H2S) exposure levels of 10 parts per billion (ppb). The average human odor detection threshold for hydrogen sulfide is referenced as 15 parts per billions (ppb).

Upcoming Courses

One Day Exam Prep Classes

ET&T now provides 1-day preparatory classes for professionals taking the IAQ Council’s board certification exam. Our instructors have taught these classes for many years and are intimately familiar with the subject materials and test references. Prep classes are offered for the following certifications:

Certified Mold Remediator (CMR)
Certified Mold Remediation Supervisor (CMRS)
Certified Mold Investigator (CMI)
Certified Mold Consultant (CMC)

We highly recommend that students have completed all the necessary documentation and have scheduled the exam date shortly after the prep class for maximum success. CMC/CMI Certification Courses: This 3-day class prepares students for AmIAQ certification. However, certification is not required to take this course. All attendees receive a "Certificate of Completion" from IAQA. Read more
